Why Are My Clothes Covered in Holes?!

You’re out and about, minding your business, then you look down at your favorite shirt and there they are. Tiny, unsightly little holes. WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?! We know this is frustrating, so we’re going to help you get to the bottom of it!

1. Do you use bleach? If you do, make sure you are correctly measuring the amount before adding it to the wash - although bright and white is good, we want to avoid any damage to your clothing!

2. Do you have a new table or countertop in your home? These surfaces, specifically granite countertops, are infamous for leaving those pesky rips at the bottom of your shirt.

3. Zip ‘em up! Let’s face it, we’re usually getting dressed in a hurry. Make sure your clothes are out of your zipper, button or belt’s way and you can cut down on damaged items.

4. There are many reasons to not overload your washing machine, and damaged clothing is one of them. When clothes are too close together, items can get stuck on other items’ zippers, hooks, etc… Make sure you zip, secure and fasten all clothing before putting them into the wash!

We hope this solves some of your holy mysteries you may have in your household, happy laundry day!
